HARD TRUTH:

- from FOXSports.com

In an offseason of obstacles for the Seahawks, none is bigger than finding a way to reduce the number of dropped passes. They have been among the league leaders the past two seasons, when drops cost them the opportunity to host a playoff game in 2003 and win one for the first time in 20 years last season. It's not just former first-round draft choice WR Koren Robinson, who is wrestling with personal demons and recently completed a 30-day stay in an alcohol rehab program. Leading WR Darrell Jackson also has struggled with midseason cases of the drops in each of the past two seasons and usually reliable No. 3 WR Bobby Engram had a couple of end-zone drops in game-winning situations last season. The coaches have tried concentration drills before and after practice, and the players have done pushups for drops in practice. But a better remedy must be found, because the Seahawks offense will never reach its full potential until the receivers reduce the number of dropped passes.
