SCOUTING REPORT:

- from FOXSports.com

Darrell Jackson caught 87 passes last season to break Brian Blades' 10-year-old single-season club record, and with 1,199 receiving yards Jackson came within a half dozen broken tackles of doing the same to Steve Largent's 19-year-old mark in that category. But the offense needs even more from Jackson this season. Perhaps not in sheer numbers, but Jackson needs to become more consistent -- which starts with reducing the number of passes he has dropped the past two years. Most of Jackson's drops have come in clusters at midseason, and he has bounced back nicely each year. But this season, with the uncertainty over Koren Robinson's role with the team and who might step in to replace him if needed, Jackson becomes an even more vital cog to the passing game. He runs precise routes and has become adept at finding open spots when things break down for QB Matt Hasselbeck. Now, he needs to catch a higher percentage of the passes thrown his way, and do more with the ball after the catch.
