Tim Ruskell, the Seahawks new president of football operations, has made a habit of finding backup quarterbacks in the third round of the draft. It happened in Tampa in 2003, when the Buccaneers selected Chris Simms. It also happened in Atlanta last year, when the Falcons took Matt Schaub. This year, it was David Greene for the Seahawks. But don't expect coach Mike Holmgren to be satisfied with a rookie, no matter how good he might look in minicamps and training camp. The veteran free-agent cupboard is pretty bare right now, but the Seahawks will continue to shop for a backup to Matt Hasselbeck for two reasons. First, injuries forced Hasselbeck to miss two games last season and Trent Dilfer (now with the Browns) stepped in to win both. Also, the Seahawks beat Simms and Schaub last season.
