The Seahawks have hired former safety Maurice Kelly as Director of Player Development. Kelly was part of the Seahawks during 2000 and 2001, where he took on the position of safety. He recorded 26 tackles (19 solo) and one pass defensed during his time as a member of the team.
Now his duties with the franchise will consist of being an intermediary between the players and the front office. Along with this, Kelly will assist players into the change between playing in the majors and moving on after retirement.
